I am Catmanrxcx, artist, designer, tattooer, collector and trader. My journey begins along the coast of Southern California. Eventually end up in a working class neighborhood of El Monte, CA. Inspired by the blue collar counter-culture around me I quickly became obsessed in my youth. Tiki culture, Tattoos, Kustom Kar culture, Punk and Rockabilly, anything that provides an escape from the working man’s dulldrum. I am obsessed and inspired by all these things that represent freedom at heart. Surrounded by working people struggling to survive in their “normal lives”, I journey to Hawaiian Tiki bars, the open road in my 38’ Coupe, and party at music festivals all around the world. I yearn to be free. I dress like a character in a Noir film, travel like a Merchant Marine, and create art as if I’m a Master. I became Catmanrx, not for glory but for my sanity. My products are inspired by these things I hold sacred. They are here for your pleasure and I hope they take you to a different place, like they are intended to do.
